Brad first felt the pull toward aviation as a child while watching hang gliders launch from the mountains of Santa Barbara. The moment when they ran off the mountain and simply stepped into flight looked like magic, and he wanted to experience it for himself. He began with foot-launched flight in gliders, which led him to curiosity about powered flight. He earned his private license during college, with the intent to pursue it as a career. After first pursuing another passion in music for several years, he returned to flight training, and began his flying career.
His career followed a common path: flight instructor, corporate pilot, regional airline First Officer, Captain, and Check Pilot. Now he is flying the 777 for a Major U.S. airline. Previous aircraft include the EMB-120 Brasilia, Canadiar regional jets, and Boeing 737.
